The Three Mothers explores the impact of three of the most famous Black men in U.S. Poppy Seed Health caught up with Anna to discuss her first book, The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation, which was published this month, as we celebrate Black History Month. Now she lives in Northern California with her husband Michael and their son Michael Malakai. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and spent her childhood in Dubai, Estonia, Sweden, Mexico, and Azerbaijan. ![]() ![]() candidate in Sociology at Cambridge University and a writer and speaker on issues of gender and race. ![]()
